The instruments reads any standard cuvette, microcuvette, test tube or 96 and 384-well standard or UV transparent microplate over full 190-1000 nm wavelength range. Nine channel system (8 for the microplate; 1 for the cuvette port) consists of sample beams and reference beams that mimics a dual beam spectrophotometer.

Path Check sensor eliminates optical pathlength as a factor (and corrects pipetting variation), closing the gap between micoplate readers and spectrophotometers; measures liquid depth and liquid volumes down to 5µl in each microplate well and scales the microplate data to standard 1 cm cuvette values.
